P.A.R.C. - Park and Retrieve Cars
P.A.R.C. offers assistance to those who need help getting to and
from their cars and carrying items for those bringing more than they
can carry safely on Sunday mornings. Just drive your car up to the
upper level doors at the center of the drive through and someone
will assist you with your needs.
Faith In Action
Faith In Action is a Bethany ministry devoted to
sharing Christ's
love by shepherding people to serve disadvantaged
people in our community. Faith In Action works with organizations
like Mobile Meals, Habitat for Humanity, Causeway, and supports
community food drives.
Mobile Meals mission is to deliver meals to the homes of the
elderly and people with disabilities who can't shop for or prepare
food for themselves and have no other reliable means of obtaining
their daily meals.
Habitat for Humanity
is an ecumenical Christian group that
recruits volunteers and raises money to build or refurbish
inexpensive but sturdy homes for responsible low-income families.
Causeway is a neighbors helping neighbors program sponsored
by Bethany Lutheran Homes and 29 participating faith congregations.
Causeway volunteers caregivers put faith in action through service
to neighbors. A volunteer is matched with an older adult or and
adult with disabilities to give assistance.
Freedom In Christ
Freedom In Christ offers “Encouragers”
(trained lay counselors) who are available for long-term
support and discipleship to help people deal with the struggles and
pain experienced during times of transition, depression, loss, or
grief. Trained “Encouragers” meet with individuals once a week, for
as long as there is a need for support. Freedom In Christ also
offers men and women a one-time opportunity to take a personal
inventory of their lives and begin the process of resolving personal
and spiritual conflicts from their past. Through a “Freedom
Appointment” a trained “Encourager” and a prayer partner will assist
believers as they examine issues keeping believers from experiencing
a spirit-led life. These can include lack of submission to
authority; pride, bitterness, and unforgiveness; misuse of one’s
body; and other things that might have caused strongholds which
stand in the way of a life of Christian freedom and joy. If you are
interested in receiving care from an “Encourager” or a Freedom
Appointment, contact the
church office.
