9:00 & 10:30 a.m. Children's Ministry
-
Nursery (Birth to 24 Months)
All of our volunteers in the Nursery are CPP approved (including background checks) and are equipped to love our children with the love of Christ.
-
Preschool (2 - 5 years old)
First Look is the curriculum used for our Preschool aged kids. Each week is full of objects for kids to touch, wild and wiggly activities to get them moving, crafts they will love getting into, and real life situations they can relate to. Our goal is to help each child master one concept at a time by creatively repeating the Bottom Line in a way that it will stick. First Look uses several key strategies:
-
Teach less for more - Repeats one key truth (Bottom Line) all month long.
-
Engage the five senses - Helps master the concept through creative activities.
-
Teach with the end in mind - Helps a child by age five, to believe:
-
Experience worship - Encourages children to talk to God any time, any place.
-
Connect at home - Provides parents with ideas for conversation with their child at home.
10:30 a.m. Children's Ministry
-
Nursery (same as above)
-
Preschool (same as above)
-
Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)
Our Elementary kids are taught using the 252Basics curriculum. 252Basics is a unique approach to curriculum for churches and Christian schools. It is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52:
-
I need to make the wise choice.
-
I can trust God no matter what.
-
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each Basic Truth is amplified by a weekly key concept and systematically taught over a three-year track. The curriculum includes 150 Bible stories and is based on a Core Virtue and Memory Verse as the framework for each month.
